Why Me in Uganda?
Why Deacon Don chooses to work in now 74 current Uganda medical missions for 10 years of service: Uganda's health care system is ranked 149th place out of 191 countries in the world by WHO. The average facility cost per outpatient visit ranged from 6,525 Ugandan shillings (Ushs)2 ($3)3 at health center IIs to 72,529 Ushs ($29) at private hospitals.
Our clinic support model aims to assist the poorest of the poor afford the $3 urgent care visit.
We have 10 new clinics to add to our 74 ahead in 2023. I am guessing, but we now serve over 6,000 + impoverished urgent care patients a year. (One at a time)
